Sacred Garden is pleased to offer plant based remedies to help you achieve optimum health.
Herbal medicine is a gentle, restorative therapy using plant based medicines, flower essences and nutritional therapy to re-discover your health and vitality. Herbs can be supportive for a wide range of health concerns and is suitable for use in pregnancy, for children and those taking conventional medicine.
Plant based medicines have been used for millennia and in the UK there is a written tradition of herbal remedies dating back centuries. Herbal medicine is not ‘old fashioned’ medicine, it is a dynamic and vibrant method of treatment relying on the power of nature. Modern herbalists combine conventional knowledge on anatomy and physiology with traditional observations on the human body. We use recent science and clinical observations taken over centuries of plant use to inform our prescriptions. I attained a Bsc Herbal Medicine from Lincoln University in 2008
My style of practice is eclectic, drawing from major healing traditions around the world. I use a fusion of British, American and Indian plants and medicinal approaches to deal with the modern challenges presented to us today. I respect traditional observations on plant medicine which I find is always verified by modern science. I have a deep respect for nature and the powerful healing properties given freely by plants. My aim is to connect people with the nourishing earth energies found in herbs, flowers and food which re-aligns and heals imbalances or disharmony in their system.
In a consultation I take a full detailed case history, make clinical observations and allow patients the time to explore their health concerns in a safe, unhurried and supportive environment. From our discussion I will prepare a custom prescription, usually consisting of a herbal tincture and give any dietary/lifestyle advice which may be appropriate.
I charge £35 for initial consultation (approx an hour) £15 for a repeat visits £8-£11 per week for medicine (teas/creams may be at an additional cost). Concessions available on request.
I am a member of the URHP, hold insurance and undertake a programme of continuing professional development.
Consultations are available by appointment only. Please contact me on 07771 330391 or [email protected] to book an appointment.
